This full service butcher shop boasts an impressive 95 foot meat cases that tantalize and lure even the most modest of shoppers. Michaels Meats has an array of smoked meat, jerky, pepperoni, sausage, and bacons. They also offer marinated beef and chicken – ready to buy and cook at home; making for a quick and easy, tasteful dinner.
“There are a lot of people in this area – and there was no butcher,” said Borns at his new location on Martin Way East. He knew he would be able to provide a desired service to the locale. This family run business began in 2003. It has the reputation of being reliable, clean, and supports other local businesses. “I get all of my seafood straight from local fishermen,” boasted Borns. This enables him to charge 30 percent less than other grocers. Right now they have Dungeness Crab for just $3.99 a pound. What’s more is that this remarkable butcher shop sells beef by the half and the quarter and pork by the half – how much meat can your freezer hold? If freezer space is limited, consider purchasing a locker pack. Michael’s Meat and Seafood offers 17 different locker packs that meet everyone’s budget and taste. Soon, Jay’s Farm Stand will be selling produce in the butcher shop. The two companies currently work together in Aberdeen, with shops side by side. Jay’s produce is all grown locally. Michael’s Meats and Seafood is truly a one-stop shop for professionally cut beef, pork, chicken and seafood. They are a place that promises to become a family favorite. “I’m here every other week,” said one customer. “Here is dinner,” she said as she lifted a bag of fresh Dungeness Crab that she had just purchased.
