Free small business workshops at Pierce County Library System
TACOMA – People will learn valuable information about starting and financing a small business during free workshops at Pierce County Library System, Wednesday, July 7 – Tuesday, Aug. 31.
Starting a Business covers business plans and licenses, bank accounts, taxes, insurance, forming a corporation, and developing a checklist for building a solid foundation for a new business.

Financing a Business includes how to assess financial needs, determine loan eligibility, and find banks and alternative community resources to get the financing needed to start a business.

Class instructor Sharon Barber has more than 25 years of experience in small business startup, financial assistance, planning, and marketing consultation and training. She has played a vital role in developing and establishing community business assistance centers, and currently serves in a nonprofit organization that supports people starting or expanding a small business.
