| Danielle makes good on the Great Clips promise: you love your haircut or it's 100% free. |
Great Haircuts at a Great Price! We’ve all been there. You wake up one day and realize you (or your child) need a haircut. If you’re
like me you plan for most things in life, but my haircut isn’t one of them and when I need one, I really “need”
one. I love being able to get in to a hair salon the same day and even better, to one that’s right around the corner
from my home. High priced salon haircuts may have a place in my family’s future one day, but right now, convenience
and value suit us just fine.
With a focus on “no appointments needed”, “treating people like
guests”, and “listening” to customers, Great Clips in DuPont, has been serving the community for two and
a half years. New owners Mark and Joanne Bennetts have been Washington residents since 1981. “We are thrilled
to be a part of this great community. We really love it here”, says Mark. As a veteran of the US Army, he
loves being so close to Ft. Lewis. “It reminds me of my years of service in Europe, which were great times. It
is great to work so close with the military personnel again”. With a focus on no waits, and discounts for military personnel,
seniors, and children - they offer a convenient service right in town.
Part of my family’s “back to school” routine is the haircut. It’s one of the rituals
in August that marks the end of the frenzied preparations for heading back to school; school supplies; check, new clothes;
check, new lunchbox; check, haircut: check. Great Clips will be offering a "Back to school" special
for $7.99! Bennetts is hoping that residents, and not just the kids, come in and give them a try. If you’ve
wondered about the skill level of the stylists at a chain salon, consider this. “All of our stylists are fantastic.
Danielle, Lydia, Kristi, Heather, and Jin are very skilled at their craft. They will take great care of anyone in your
family,” Bennetts explains. “ All of our stylists are trained at accredited organizations, and are licensed by
the State of Washington.”
When I asked about experience he explained that many of the stylists have cut
at high-end salons, and other full service locations. “Some have 10 plus years of cutting hair, and all have at least
five years as a minimum. They are very good at taking your feedback and ideas, and giving you what you want.” Great
Clips focuses on a quality haircut, based on convenience, in a friendly clean atmosphere. In the end, it comes down to whether
or not you get a great haircut. I have paid $7.99 and $79 for a haircut and been happy with both (and also unhappy with both).
I’ve been a longtime customer of Great Clips and I’ve been paid the ultimate hairstyle compliment by being asked
over and over again “where’d you get that cut?”
Finding a great hairstylist who listens to you
and ‘knows’ your hair is about spending time with a hairstylist, explaining what you want (they love it if you
bring in a photo) and listening when they explain what your hair can or can’t do. A good stylist will take into consideration your look, lifestyle, and amount of time you are willing to
devote to your hair, your hair’s texture, and face shape and curl pattern. If you get a haircut you’re not happy with, Great Clips has a 100 percent money back guarantee if you’re
not happy with it. You either love it, or it’s free! More importantly, let your hairstylist know
and give her a chance to fix it.
Great customer-stylist relationships are built on more than one visit, with great
communication and working together to get it “right”. Great
Clips is located next to Starbucks in McNeil Station. Stop in and say hello, their great staff of stylists would love to meet
you. Open Monday through Friday 9am-8pm, Saturday 9am-6pm, and Sunday 11am-5pm.
